Lingua was founded in 1991. The school is located in the centre of Zlín near hotel Garni. It's a modern, well-equipped school. Our lecturers, both Czech and native-speakers, are well-trained and highly professional. Our students value our professionalism and individual approach. While the school offers a variety of language courses, we concentrate mainly on English, German, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian but we also offer courses in Arabic, Chinese and other languages. We teach over 360 hours per week to more than 500 students.
We have offered 'pomaturitní studium' (post-secondary full-time daily studies) accredited by the Czech Ministry of Youth and Education since 1994/95. Our graduates have a higher rate of acceptance into tertiary education and their level of English has helped them become successful professionals. The intensity of this course has made it popular for older students as well.
The programme of the school is regularly improving and expanding. Our summer camps for children and Saturday seminars have become a tradition.

English is our focus and, depending on demand, we also offer courses in other languages.
We have a group of evening courses.They differ in intensity, type, goal and level. All courses have their proceeding levels that allow students to improve. Each student can find his/her individual way to reach the goal.
We believe in a combination of approaches based on communication in real life situations. We also stress the importance of grammar and vocabulary building. All this is accompanied by a friendly atmosphere and close co-operation between the lecturer and the student. The quality of the courses is carefully monitored by progress tests which serve as feedback for the course.

The necessity to communicate in at least one or two foreign languages has become crucial for success in the business environment. Carefully consider the needs of your company. There will be a different language requirement for the management than for the rest of the staff. We will help evaluate your company's language levels and create a tailored plan for their improvement. In co-operation with the customer we will: evaluate language needs according to the structure of the company offer targets and establish plans for language improvement test current level of language knowledge offer solutions For the realisation of the planned outcomes we will follow a pre-prepared agreement. We encourage the company to layout its expectations and our school will periodically submit a report. The results will be carefully examined and evaluated before the next step.
Courses for groups
Weekly classes over the period of one year are usual. There shouldn't be more than 6 people in the group. The pre-requisite for a successful course is working with students of the same level. We select from over six levels ranging from elementary to the most advanced. We also offer specialised courses in business or general English. At the most advanced level students can prepare for the Cambridge tests in English which are internationally recognised.
Individual courses
On demand we can also offer special courses for individuals or pairs. The advantage is the lecturer adjusts to the level of the student. The contract outlines all stages of the course and is time-flexible.

Pomaturitní Studium (post-secondary full-time daily studies)
